Pest Proofing

A major national building contractor were looking for a solution to their loading bay problems, litter, flies, mice and other pests, whilst maintaining the area beneath the loading bay as a flood buffer.

We designed a stainless steel screen which will protect against the ingress of pests as small as flies, upto and including cats and dogs, whilst also allowing the area to be maintained as a flood buffer area.  The screen is fabricated from a stainless steel sheet, combined with a finer mesh and solid stainless steel flashings to help take out the uneven floor, the flashings are not watertight but are close enough to stop pests.  We used solid flashings down the side of the staircases to ensure all areas were secure.

The finished product looks professional and modern and will require little or no maintenance in the future.
