Today saw the installation of a particularly large section of duct. The air intake Louvre measures almost 3m x 2m and was fabricated in smaller panels which are then held in a fabricated sheet metal framework. The installation required removal of wall panels and windows, with a male and female frame which slid together from either side of the wall, the ductwork was then riveted in position, sealed and flashed. The entire fabrication is from galvanized mild steel sheet, with all welds appropriately treated. Have a look at our Sheetmetal & Ductwork page for some photographs.
